Relaxing and exciting vacation campsJust a few steps behind the dunes of the Baltic Sea beach lies the Grömitz Youth Camp. With a capacity of up to 900 people, this youth camp has been hosting children’s and youth recreation programs and large-scale events for many years.

At our two year-round campsites—Sonnenplatz29 at Blankwasserweg 102 and Achtern Diek at Lenster Weg 1—you’ll find everything you need for a relaxing stay at Grömitz-Camping.

November through March: €20.00 (including tax) per parking space per night
The visitor's tax (https://www.groemitz.de/satzungen) must be paid separately at the ticket machine at the current rate.
Reservations are not accepted. Parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Holding a spot for someone else is not permitted. There are no designated waiting areas. Adjacent streets may not be used for this purpose either.
Electricity rates:
per kWh consumed (10 A) 0.70 euros
Fresh water:
10 liters for 0.10 euros
Restroom facilities:
Restrooms are available to guests free of charge. A flat fee of 2.00 euros is charged for use of the showers. Each time you enter, you must hold your smart card up to the RFID reader, and 2.00 euros will be deducted.
Waste disposal station:
2.00 euros per use
Greywater disposal:
free of charge

Sonnenland Campground in Grömitz

Get up close to nature. Breathe in, smell, and taste the sea air. That sounds like Grömitz camping at its best. All of this becomes a reality at the Sonnenland campground, nestled between the dunes and the Baltic Sea. At the campground on the natural Lensterstrand beach, you’ll find pure relaxation and peaceful moments.
Sonnenland Campground is the only campground in Grömitz and the Lübeck Bay area located in front of the dike and right on the beach. These are the perfect conditions for the best campground in Grömitz. Spending your vacation here means plenty of fresh Baltic Sea air and unspoiled nature on the sandy beach. It’s a true natural idyll that every caravan and RV owner looks forward to year after year.

Please note: Sonnenland is closed for the winter and will reopen on March 28, 2026. You are welcome to submit booking requests for the upcoming season; we process and respond to them regularly, though not on a daily basis. We appreciate your understanding and patience, and we’re already looking forward to the next season at Grömitz-Camping!
The following booking conditions apply to our guest campsites:
- Reservations are available for stays of 2 nights or more; during the high season (mid-June through late August), stays must be for 5 nights or more
- The pitch rental fee, plus accommodation charges, a flat-rate electricity fee, and visitor’s tax, must be paid upon check-in. The only exception: For long-term guests (28 nights or more), electricity is billed based on actual usage and paid upon departure.
- Tourismus-Service Grömitz is not responsible for early departures. The parking fee and accommodation charges must be paid in full for the entire booked period.
- Arrival/Check-in: from 3:00 p.m.
- Check-out: by 11 a.m.
- Please note: If you plan to arrive after 5:00 p.m., please notify us by email at: sonnenland@groemitz.de. If we have not received a message by 4:00 p.m., we will assign the campsite to someone else.
- If you do not use your reservation (cancellation or no-show), cancellation fees will be charged for the campsite rental and overnight stays.
- Up to four weeks before arrival: 20%
- Four to two weeks before arrival: 50%
- Two weeks to one day before arrival: 75%
- Cancellation on the day of arrival or no-show: 100%
