Discover breathtaking landscapes

The stunning landscape around Grömitz offers hikers a beautiful backdrop—with well-maintained, paved trails and clear signage. Hiking from Grömitz to Kellenhusen and beyond: The Baltic Sea Cycle Route is, of course, a very popular hiking and biking trail, stretching from Flensburg via Kiel and Heiligenhafen, around the sunny island of Fehmarn, all the way to Lübeck-Travemünde.

If you’d like to hike along the path of Schleswig-Holstein’s monks, we highly recommend the Mönchsweg. Over the course of 342 km, immerse yourself in the medieval world of monks and Slavs, visiting old fieldstone churches, magnificent castles, and typical manor farms on your way from Glücksstadt via Eutin and the monastery village of Cismar all the way up to Fehmarn. In total, the modern pilgrim is rewarded with 46 sights between the Elbe and the Fehmarn Belt while hiking around Grömitz.
