A place comes alive—with people and pets, fish and rolls, the beach and wicker baskets, the sunny Baltic resort of Grömitz celebrates the return of its eagerly awaited guests. “Back to the Sun” is the cheerful yet wistful slogan Grömitz is using to mark the newly mandated easing of restrictions. After welcoming second-home owners on Monday, May 4, Grömitz will now welcome its first tourist guests on Monday, May 18, and is mobilizing the entire community in accordance with the mandated social distancing guidelines.

Starting Wednesday, April 29, 2020, the rule requiring masks on public transportation and in supermarkets will also apply in Schleswig-Holstein. The goal is to protect ourselves and others from the coronavirus and slow the spread of the infection.
