At the beach sleep

Deluxe beach sleeping – with the sand and the sea stretching out before us, and the stars shining above us at night! Sleeping on Grömitz Beach is a dreamlike adventure – especially when you can feel well protected while doing so. Nestled against a dune in a sun-drenched south-facing location, the three comfortable beach chairs for sleeping offer an unobstructed view of the Baltic Sea and are spaced generously apart. During the day, you can listen to the sound of the sea, and in the evening, the sound of the waves gently lulls you to sleep—sunrise included. Guests can choose between two packages for an overnight stay in a beach chair.

Times

• Check-in: between 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. at the beach chair rental shop “Bastis Strandkörbe”.  
• Check-out: by 11:00 a.m. the following day.
• Booking period for all packages: April 29 through October 3 (weather permitting)

Basic components of each package

• 1 mattress (130 x 240 cm) plus a mattress topper
• 1 portable charger for a cell phone, LED night light, LED flashlight, LED lantern
• Small luggage box (lockable) including a cooler for two 1-liter bottles
• Teak seating set, including chair cushions and a sunshade
• Restrooms are available 24 hours a day in the immediate vicinity; there is a beach shower (cold water) on site
• Free Wi-Fi on the beach

Cost per day/basket

• "Pure" beach sleeping: €79.00 plus visitor's tax. Just bring your own blankets and pillows—it's simple and hassle-free.
• "Deluxe" beach sleeping: 99.00 euros plus visitor’s tax. 1 "freshly made" bedding set consisting of 1 duvet (155 x 200 cm), 2 pillows (80 x 40 cm), and 2 pillows (40 x 40 cm).

Additional services available for booking:

• A simple beach picnic: 1 bottle of Prosecco or white wine in a cooler, 2 glasses, trail mix, crackers, a bag of candy = 25.00 euros
• Deluxe beach picnic: 1 bottle of French crémant in a cooler, 2 glasses, trail mix, crackers, and a bag of candy = 35.00 euros

The section of the beach managed by Marion Beach Chair Rentals isn’t just cozy during the day. At night, it’s all about sleeping on the beach. Two brand-new sleeping beach chairs make spending the night a wonderful experience. Surrounded by fine sand, green dunes, the sound of the Baltic Sea, and right under the starry sky, you can spend a special night in one of the two sleeping beach chairs. You can decide for yourself whether you prefer “basic” or “deluxe” beach sleeping, and then nothing stands in the way of your beach chair overnight stay.

At Klarsinni Beach (the "Seagull" section), pure romance is lived and loved. Since 2019, newlyweds and long-time lovers alike have been able to spend a night right under the starry sky in a cozy beach chair-bed on Grömitz’s wide, fine-sand South Beach. The sound of the sea and the squawking of the seagulls are included. You can hardly experience a Baltic Sea vacation any more intensely. Sleep on the beach, but don’t sacrifice comfort, because all the amenities are just a few steps away.

The renowned **** Hotel Strandidyll also offers the chance to spend the night under the stars outdoors—or, more specifically, to spend your next night in a beach chair. The two beach chairs are located right on the wide, fine-sand Strandidyll Beach in the southern part of Grömitz. The Baltic Sea right in front of you, a dune right next to you, and the hotel and its amenities just a stone’s throw away—sleeping on the beach doesn’t get much more authentic than this!
