From August 3 to 7, it’s time once again to clear the deck for boarding!

Ahoy, little pirates! During OstseeFerienLand Pirate Week from August 3–7, 2026, exciting adventures, game festivals, campfires, treasure hunts, and plenty of fun and action for the whole family await you every day in all five OstseeFerienLand destinations (Dahme, Grömitz, Kellenhusen, Grube & Lensahn), exciting adventures, game festivals, campfires, treasure hunts, and plenty of fun and action for the whole family.

From August 3 to 7, the OstseeFerienLand transforms daily into a pirate adventure world for young and old alike, inviting visitors to immerse themselves in the world of fearless buccaneers. For a whole week, the buccaneers will take over our vacation region and sail through Dahme, Grömitz, Kellenhusen, Grube, and Lensahn, bringing plenty of fun and games with them.  

To help all the little landlubbers become real buccaneers during Pirate Week, there are eye patches, tattoos, and plenty of accessories—everything you need to complete the look. Then, as a true-blue pirate, the great adventure begins! The whole family is in for a blast at the pirate game festivals, featuring bounce houses and more in all five towns. Captain Kork will keep the mood lively in the Baltic Sea towns with pirate tales, music, and more. In the shipbuilding workshops, you can build your own pirate boat to take home, and during the treasure hunts in Dahme, Grömitz, and Kellenhusen, you’ll get to know the world of pirates even better and work together to find the great pirate treasure. To recharge after the adventurous hunt, delicious bread on a stick—which you can bake yourself—awaits by the crackling campfire. At the kids’ clubs, there are maritime-themed crafts every day so the pirates can make a stop at your vacation home, too.

  • August 3 | 6:00–7:00 p.m. | Pirate treasure hunt starting at the Strandhus Kinderhafen
  • August 4 | 2:00–6:00 p.m. | German Red Cross Family Festival
  • August 4 | 3:00–4:00 p.m. | Liederkoffer at the Strandhus Kinderhafen
  • August 5 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. | A Pirates' World – Activities, pirate games, quizzes, and more at the Strandhus Children's Harbor
  • August 5 | 3:00–4:00 p.m. | Captain Kork with pirate music and more as a guest at the Strandhus Kinderhafen
  • August 6 | 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. | Bouncy castles, street performers, and soap bubbles
  • August 6 | 2:00–6:00 p.m. | Pirate Games Festival with a bounce house, arts and crafts, a treasure hunt, and more at the Nysted side field near the Strandhus

Grömitz:

  • August 3–7 | 9:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m. | Pirate Club for young visitors to Grömitz (ages 4–10, accompanied by their parents)
  • August 3 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. | Boat Workshop at the Beach House
  • August 3 | 6:30–8:00 p.m. | Bonfire & bread on a stick at the beach house (please RSVP by email to strandhaus@groemitz.de)
  • August 4 | 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. | A Pirates' World – Activities, pirate games, quizzes, and more around the beach house
  • August 4 | 2:00–6:00 p.m. | Pirate Games Festival on the beach in front of the beach house, featuring a bounce house, various games, and more.
  • August 5 | 10 a.m.–12 p.m. | Pirate Face Painting at the Beach House
  • August 5 | 3:00–6:00 p.m. | Boat Workshop at the Beach House
  • August 5 | 6:00–7:00 p.m. | Pirate Treasure Hunt from the Beach House

  • August 5 | 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. | A Pirates World – Activities, pirate games, quizzes, and more at the Captain Kelli Club on the beach promenade

  • August 6 | 3:00–5:00 p.m. | A colorful pirate surprise program at the Käptn Kelli Klub
  • August 6 | 7:00–8:00 p.m. | Pirate Treasure Hunt hosted by Captain Kelli's Club

Thick:

  • August 7 | 2:00 – 6:00 p.m. | The pirates are taking over OstseeFerienLand and bringing plenty of fun with them. With a games festival featuring a pirate bounce house and pirate face painting, our young guests can experience all kinds of adventures at the Scout grounds (behind St. Jürgen Church)!

Lensahn:

  • August 3 | 2:00–6:00 p.m. | Pirates are taking over the OstseeFerienLand. Courage and skill are what’s needed at the games festival in the museum courtyard in Lensahn. A pirate bounce house, pirate face painting, and a treasure hunt promise lots of fun.
