The blaze of color in Grömitz

Let’s start with what is arguably our most important color. Because in Grömitz, gold isn’t just any color—it’s part of our shining landmark. In the form of a small, cheerful sun, it beams out at vacationers as soon as they enter our little town. It’s a way of life that can only be found under the sun in Grömitz.

And we’ve recently taken it up a notch with our #meingrömitz swing! At the youth beach near the Beach huts you can amp up that vacation bliss even more. Good vibes guaranteed!

White isn’t a color? Not a chance. Anyone who’s ever strolled along our dazzling white beach will change their mind the moment their feet touch the soft sand. And when that stroll along the beach leads you to our white beach beds, even the last skeptic will be convinced. This dream in white, surrounded by fine grains of sand, invites you to daydream. When you’re dozing in a beach bed, gazing at the passing fluffy clouds, white really is simply the most beautiful color in the world, isn’t it?

If you need a break from your walk along the beach, feel free to swing into one of our hammocks in front of the beach house. It’s an oasis of relaxation that invites you to linger, complete with palm trees that look so real you’d swear they were the real thing.

Once you’ve recharged your batteries, you can head straight to the giant water slide. This blue marvel is a whopping 60 meters long and 11 meters high. Upstairs, there's a wide range of activities for the little ones, and downstairs, there's a beach hut where teens can relax and play games. You're guaranteed never to get bored here!  

Because our guys and girls from the German Life-Saving Association always have everything under control. We love stopping by here! Thanks to them, we can fully enjoy a dip in the cool water every summer day. During the season, there are DLRG lifeguards or certified lifeguards on duty at a total of 16 staffed watchtowers and at the Lensterstrand auxiliary station.

Sometimes we just feel the urge to leave the beach behind and head out into the green countryside. Do you have a lot of luggage or little passengers with you? Then why not switch from an e-scooter to an electric cargo bike? Thanks to the state-of-the-art pedal assist and the cargo box, you’ll make quick and comfortable progress even with extra weight—all while enjoying the beautiful scenery.

Who can resist that look? You can get to this adorable animal in no time on your bike. Luckily, there are a few treats to take with you at the entrance—that’s how you win over Noah's Ark Zoo Animal friends. Coatis, ferrets, porcupines, and many other animals roam the zoo grounds. There’s also a play ship and a playground where kids can run around and have fun. And for the older visitors, there’s a café where you can relax. Sound like fun for the whole family? Then head on over.  

Unless, of course, you hold our delicious licorice ice cream right under your nose. Or any other kind of ice cream! On the promenade, every single flavor tastes absolutely amazing! And the variety of colors here is just as diverse as on our little tour. After gazing our fill, we’ll finally get to eat our fill. What a wonderful way to end our summer tour.
